The Subversion of Static Defense

Traditional tower defense relies on placing units and afk'ing. The Double Dungeon explicitly prevents this through two punishing mechanics:

  • Global Weather Stuns: Periodic stuns interrupt your units' attack animations, resetting their SPA. You must rely on units with naturally low SPA or the Voidborn trait to land hits between stun intervals.
  • The Walking Statues: The statues around the arena are actively hunting your units. If they reach a unit, they forcibly sell it from the board, crippling your defense and draining your economy. You must actively reposition and rebuy units.

Meta Strategy: The "Hyper-Carry" Chokepoint

Because the Walking Statues threaten widespread static defenses, the meta strategy against the final boss, "The Ruler", requires extreme clustering:

  • Use Law (Death Surgeon) to massively compress the enemy path into a tiny kill-zone.
  • Deploy a single, heavily protected Overloaded Saitama or Sukuna as the hyper-carry inside that pocket.
  • Funnel all Farm money into that single unit while manually dodging the statues.
